connect iPad Air with amp through USB-C

I wanted to connect my iPad Air with my amp, but the USB C won't do it, like previous models used to do. does anyone have the same problem; how did you fix it? Is the connection possible or did Apple just overlook it?

Presumably you are attempting to derive analogue audio from your iPad.

As modern iPad models do not have a dedicated 3.5mm audio connection, you can use an Apple USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter:

The adapter includes a DAC that supports 24-bit digital audio.
