Location Services/Find My does not let me track locations of friends & family

I have had this persistent issue going on for longer than I even realized.

If someone shares their location with me, I am unable to track them.

It will show it for a split second in our messages chat, vanish, and then the find my app doesn't show anyones location either.

I have troubleshooted with apple for hours, I have troubleshooted online finding different things.. Nothing.

Apparently it's been escalated to the supervisor team at Apple - but I just want this fixed.

Retrona ~ As your iPhone 13 mini could be 4 years old, it's worth checking for a weak, aging battery which can cause connectivity issues. (The battery may be unable to supply sufficient power to the iPhone's communications hardware in order to track others.) So...

Does your iPhone 13 mini still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging

Retrona ~ 78% is not healthy and is probably the reason for that problem. Apple recommends having the battery replaced at around 80% – so have the weak, aging battery replaced and all will be well. And since your iPhone is 'used', this first article may also be of particular interest:
