iOS 26. It listens to my streaming services and sometimes it obeys commands of the actors. For example when someone said search for a new CEO a drop-down menu appeared in front of the screen and it searched for a CEO.

If your content has anything that sounds like “Siri” it will listen to audible content, then try to do a search. As a first step go to Settings/Apple Intelligence & Siri and change the voice prompt to “Hey, Siri”, or turn it off completely and use the side button to invoke Siri.

Updated my iPhone 16 Pro Max yesterday, and I keep getting asked to put in my Apple ID and password, over and over again. Only fix is it shut the phone off and restart it. Then it works for a while. I do not use Face ID and don’t intend to, so that fix is not an option.

Also, I am now getting old deleted messages listed with my new ones. I keep deleting them, but more come back.

am so sorry that I updated!

The ios 26 update has removed functionality of the Apple Phone, Messages, Email, and Calendar applications. This is a huge problem. I cannot make any phone calls even if an emergency were to happen….

you have an extreme problem not seen by many out of the two billion users.

The problems could be SIM related - is your cellular working properly? If you have a SIM card have you taken it out and put it back?

Have you uninstalled any VPN which do not work well with iphines. Some adblockers are VPN based. All security apps must be removed.

Ultimately you maybneed to

Back up the phone

Erase all content & settings

Set up the phone again, restoring the backup.

There is some risk so ensure you learn how to perform this.

Since I moved to Apple almost 20 years ago - I've overall been very happy with what I get and how it performs but iOS 26 has me reconsidering the whole apple ecosystem.

The fact that the moderator changed the post to "potential" problems is almost comical. I don't see anyone in the eight pages of posts that doesn't with 100% certainty "HAVE" a problem they didn't have before. And I know with certainty that when I know can't forward a photo - from photos - to a text - it's a problem.

Just to list a few of the "potential" bugs I'm experiencing

  1. photo won't forward to a text from photos - goes to text but no photo
  2. text strings don't even show up when you try to forward a text -
  3. switching to almost any app is "jumpy" and not smooth at all
  4. when I try to use stored signins/passwords it asks for my passcode but then won't populate the field with either the email or password
  5. messenger chat's (on wife's phone lost/wouldn't load)

And now a few PERSONAL preference things I don't like

  1. I hate the new clock icon
  2. don't understand why a search bar needed to be moved in text search
  3. camera controls now hide where portrait is - additional looking to find it
  4. and battery "low power" mode is now hidden in an additional menu

The issues aren't potential and have literally handicapped my phone right as I will be attending a huge work conference.

The PERSONAL concerns are just those - personal - but they do seem less efficient.

Very disappointing a big iOS would be this buggy.

Additionally, I have seen comments about "well it was made for the newest hardware - maybe it's a hardware problem" - well both my phone and my wife's are 16 pros - if an iPhone is "legacy" in one year - well then it's probably time to start thinking google.

Please fix the iOS 26 issues, I use this phone for trading, I can’t handle the overheating and lagging, I already lost loads amounts of money because of the lagging

No one here can fix anything. This is a user to user only forum. If your phone is overheating and lagging, have you checked your Battery Health? Both issues you've described are symptomatic of a battery which may be failing, not necessarily an issue with iOS 26. Open Settings > Battery > Battery Health - if your battery health is close to or below 80%, the battery in your iPhone needs to be replaced, which will solve heating and lagging issues.

Look mate. Please try and show me some respect. I'm obviously not as smart as you with regard's to Apple and their products.
what do I need to know from the Analytics section?
Thanks

There is absolutely nothing that is useful to an end user in iOS analytics. It is for Apple engineers if you contact Apple Support with an issue. And even they don’t read the raw analytics, the have apps that will decode the content for review. If you put your iPhone in Diagnostic Mode that will report any problems.

Whether helpful or not--I tried to set up an iPhone 13 mini and could not get it to keep a connection to either wifi or any bluetooth device with Ios 26.1 The iphone 13 mini would set up but never hold a connection. Devices below

Took out my old phone iPhone SE 2020 and all wifi connections and Bluetooth devices I have keep their connections with no trouble. Devices tested: Phonak Roger ON (connects to two AB Bionics sound Processor for Cochlear Implant) and a sound processor for the AB Bionics (same device). The sound processor allows phone conversations so someone already deaf.

I just updated to the new IOS 26-liquid glass. The reflective nature of the light is so distracting and causes migraines. I have tried all the so-call "fixes" for this: adjusting Display and Brightness, Reducing Transparency and Tinting however nothing works. I cannot use Dark Mode as well, because black background with white lettering also triggers migraines. This is affecting me being on my phone for everything, including emails, apps and texting. Does anyone have a true fix? I wish Apple would allow us the choice to go back to the classic settings.

Why can’t I simply close a browser page on safari? I don’t know how to work this phone since the update was applied! What the helldid you people do to make things so complicated?

You close Safari by swiping up and when you open it again, it returns back to that same page. Closing one page is done when you navigate to a different page or close a tab where that page is open. That has not changed with the iOS 26 update.

nothing that I like! I want my old phone back!

Did you send feedback to Apple, they won't see your post here.

Product Feedback - Apple

This site is simply made up of other Apple users offering their assistance with a specific issue. We have no ability to bring your phone back. Some will confuse this site with a Social Media site where it is a common place for rants, but they do no good here. There is not enough information to help with an issue closing a search or the reasons your photos are not showing up. I can say that I don't have any of those issues with iOS 26.1 and like the new update, but of course that is not helpful either.
