Hi Guys, I updated to iOS 26 earlier today, and I notice that my iMessage and FaceTime aren't working. I keep receiving a message that my number is “unavailable for iMessage and FaceTime.” Before the update, my phone was working just fine. I have already contacted my provider, and they didn't provide any assistance. I also restarted my phone, but still no luck. Has anyone experienced this issue too and been able to fix it?

Here is what worked for me. I had an unused old SIM card in my 13mini. Tried all of the above with no luck until I removed that card. Soon as I did that IMessage started working right away.

I am also having the same issue since updating to iOS 26 on iPhone 15 Pro Max on the day it was released as well as on an iPhone X on iOS 16.7.12 that got an update on the same day by Apple. I have been in contact with tier 2 support after doing the troubleshooting including the 24-36 hours wait times to no avail. Even tried to deregister and request to enable but got no response from Apple. Tier 2 support seems to refuse or prolong the escalation to tier 3 even after providing SysDiagnose and evidences.
The tier 2 I spoke with slipped that they have been receiving a lot of reports on this issue since the release. So here’s hoping apple fixes this soon.
I have a similar problem with FaceTime, if they call me using FaceTime video the call hangs up at the first ring, but if they call me using FaceTime Audio everything works without problems. I have searched and read many articles and other people on Reddit present similar problems after updating to IOS26, I guess we will be like this until Apple decides to solve it.
Same problem, iphone 11 Pro and Iphone 13 both updated to ios 26, both imessage and facetime are not working anymore, it was good before the update
Looks like facetime audio option on contact cards is gone.
After iOS26 updates, iMessage works for me but the ‘swoosh’ sound is gone! I checked all the ‘Notifications’ settings - nope, they’re all fine.
As of 9-26 the engineer I sent my logs to has said NOTHING.

Unpacked my new 17 pro, spent hours setting it all up to realize I too cannot use IMessage or FaceTime. What a mess
