Camera app missing from Camera Control button options in iOS 26

After updating to iOS 26, whenever I click the Camera Control button on my iPhone 16 Pro, it does not open the camera app anymore. I looked through the settings app, specifically in the section to select a specific app to open when the camera control button is clicked. However, the CAMERA APP IS NOT THERE AMONG THE LIST OF APPS!!! The only available apps that I can launch when I press the camera control button are Instagram and Snapchat...

Ok guys!!

After updating to iOS 26.0.1, the issue is now completely fixed and all the camera apps that I used to have available on iOS18 are not under the camera control settings!!I hope it works the same for y'all too if you experienced this issue.

Are you following this path,

iPhone > Settings > Camera > Camera Control > Launch Camera > select from available camera apps > if your preferred camera app is greyed out, the developer needs to update their app to be compatible with iOS 26

I had done hard restart, it’s been so annoying the silent option in action button is almost same as camera not working in camera control

The only icon available under the ‘Capture’ heading on the Action Button Menu is ‘Scan Code’. I’ve hard-reset my phone and I am on iOS 26.0. This used to work fine under previous iOS!

Yea, but I'm experiencing that the native Apple Camera app pre-installed on every iPhone is not showing up under the list of available apps I can open with the Camera Control button.

Yeah, this bug is extremely annoying as I'm someone who really appreciates the Camera control button. I always used to quickly open my camera with it and take photos with it, now I can't...
