Since macos Tahoe the launchpad is gone which makes OS very unpleasant and unproductive!
Is there a way to go back to macos Sequoia or do I need to find a substitute for my macbook since this makes laptop as good as useless.

why is your system still indexing, my cpu runs 97 idle when its just sitting there? turn off your browser and check the cpu usage.
I also wonder about the complete removal of the app launcher without any prior warning from any reviewer. Too bad about upgrading to macos tahoe.
I fully agree, the new app feature on macOS Tahoe is absolutely terrible. I am missing Launchpad. I really don´t get it why macOS is updated so often and often just with worse result.

I should never have to download an external APP to replace what Mac OS did just last version. So ridiculous!!!
Plenty of media coverage on this issue. At this point, macOS provides the Apps feature that’s part of Spotlight, or pressing Command-A in Finder window opens your Applications folder, which you can set to icon view and arrange how you like.
