Microsoft Office 365 does not work with macOS 26

Just updated my M3 MacBook Pro max to the new Tahoe - but now none of my Microsoft apps (Word, Excel etc fail to work). I've since binned these, re-purchased a new 365 subscription today and downloaded / installed and updated all apps, but no - they quit as soon as I open them. Anyone else having this? Currently I'm stuck..

I had the same issue. I contacted apple support, here was their solution: Restart Mac in Safe Mode, relaunch the Apps. If trouble free, then restart again in Normal mode. Safe mode clears the caches and performs systems checks that seems to have resolved the problem for me.

Zelfde probleem hier.

Hi

I have the same issue with PowerPoint after upgrading my iMac from Sonoma 14.7.4 to Tahoe 26.1. Word, Excel and other MS 365 apps work but not PowerPoint. MS 365 version I have is 16.103.4 (25120717).

My PowerPoint behaves differently - when I double click on any ppt file it gets loaded BUT it does not display on the screen. The only way I can view the loaded ppt file is when I do a select View followed by Enter Full Screen from the PowerPoint Menu bar.

I have tested using Safe Mode and it works perfectly fine under Safe Mode - no issues.

I have logon to another user id on the same iMac and works perfectly fine - no issues

I have uninstall and re-install MS 365 the issue still persist. I have also deleted the the necessary files in the library, containers, group containers etc as suggested in the forum - nothing works.

I even downloaded the MS365 from the App Store as someone suggested might work.- same issue still persist in my case.

Since it is a common problem after the upgrade to Tahoe - I thought Apple would do something about this and give a solution to resolve this inconvenient issue.

Does anybody have any solution that I can try? Please need steps.

The only issue I have is in my primary user id.

This all happened after the upgrade to MacOs Tahoe 26.1!

Help!!!!
