Mini clock can’t be changed, so I added a Widget to the first home screen. One of the choices is the original clock face. Tap and hold home screen until apps vibrate; tap Edit, Add Widget and add the clock face you want as a widget on the home screen.
Same here. I was able to change the glass-type font to a solid font. Touch the clock on the home screen, then touch Customize at the bottom of the screen. Then you change the font to solid and any color offered.

you still cant show the swiss clock face.
You cannot change the icon for the clock app.
You can let Apple know that's something you'd like to see here:
Put the suggestion in the iPhone section.

Thank you for the screenshot.
Changing the Clock App Face:
No. The icon is what it is. But, if you refer a different type of clock face, then use a specific app: ClockPhone big digital clocks on the App Store
Recommend this to Apple:
Do your Part: Report this to Apple. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback Apple receives on this, the more they will know what is their customers prefer, and what and what features to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of your ideas, if you don't provide them with them.

I couldn’t get to the original size. Only choice was a giant icon.
That's not an icon, it's a widget. You can't change the icon.

If you press and hold the clock face, an option to change it comes up. There’s not many options but at least the others are easier to see.

I agree - there’s a multitude of clock faces for the watch, it can’t be hard to supply some options for IOS 26, including the previous easy to read version. Perhaps also an option to double the size of just that particular icon for users with poorer eyesight or users who just want the clock to stand out and get their attention.
Telling other users on a user to user only forum what you think should be easy, get's you nowhere. We aren't Apple here and Apple doesn't participate here, nor read for user feedback. If you want to tell Apple what you think they should do, use this link --> Feedback - iPhone - Apple
I found this answer in Google. I found the “Shortcuts” pre-loaded app on my iPhone (running iOS 26.0.1) and used it to make a shortcut to “toggle alarms” - this made a new “app” on my Home Screen (which is really just a link to my alarms that I had in my Clock app). And it let me choose my own emoji & color for this new link’s icon! So now it’s a cute clock emoji and I put it where my “Clock” used to be (& moved the clock to the last page of my Home Screen, where I’ll never have to look at it again!) Yay! :D

As has been explained a couple of times since the original post in September, that is not the Clock icon. That's a widget. You can change that but you still can't change the icon for the Clock app.

I hate the oversized icon on the clock face and some widgets like the example with the weather. Takes up too much space and annoying for us that like symmetry. I don’t understand why the old options are not available as additional options. I prefer the 24 hr clock which is only available as a huge annoying icon. Stop making “improvements” that make my life less comfortable.
You aren't writing anyone at Apple here on this user to user only forum. As users, no one here changed anything. If you want to share your thoughts with Apple, this is how you can do that --> Feedback - iPhone - Apple

1. we should be able to change the clock face on our phones.
Tell Apple:
2. We shouldn’t have to pay for every single app that is on iPhone! I am sick of it the fact that Samsung you can get free apps and yet you guys charge it per day per week per month per year is disgusting
You don't have to pay for "every single app that is on the iPhone." All the basic apps you need are included by Apple at no charge. There are also lots of free apps in the App Store, as well as ones that cost only a small amount.
don’t say it’s the app’s fault because if you can get it free on Samsung then you can get it free on iPhone
Just because something is free on one platform doesn't mean it will be free on another. However, the Clock app is free on the iPhone. The fact that you can't change the app's icon doesn't change that.

The old Swiss face and the current “70’s cheap alarm clock” face DO show the correct time. Even the second hand moves.
The new face is just more difficult for some of us to read while the previous face was fine.
and many of us don’t want a widget that takes the space of 4 icons on our hole screen.
Have you told Apple?

I just Downloaded the iOS 26.1 Update into my iPhone 14 & noticed the “Odd” Change for the Clock & the User’s Inability to Change it Back to the Original Clock Face!
Hopefully, with All this Discussion from Apple Users, the IT Department will Have a “Fix” for this in a Future Update.
Apple doesn't read here in this user-to-user forum for feedback or suggestions. You can, however, let them know your thoughts here:
