Age ie date of purchase or manufacture have no relevance in battery replacement, it is by model number in Settings, General, About.

Apple still replace batteries for that phone if it was a model intended for sale in your location.

Battery age cannot be seen on older phones in that way, Mac app Coconut Battery is the only way to get phone and battery manyfacture date.
