Passwords not filling in while logging in to apps after iOS 26 update on iPhone 13 Pro

My passwords are not filling in after I updated to ios26. I am on an iPhone 13 Pro. When I open an app and the log in screen comes up, my saved password appears above the iPhone keyboard, but when I tap it and enter my iPhone passcode to use the password, nothing populates. This used to work every time before updating to ios26.

In order to populate my password I have to tap the "key" icon next to my saved password when the keyboard pops up. I then enter my iPhone passcode to bring up the suggested accounts to autofill my password. I can then select the account to use and it will autofill my password, but this requires a few more steps that I'd like to avoid having to do every time I open an app.

I've tried to set up FaceID, but for some reason it will not work for me on this iPhone.
