Maps doesn't reappear on iOS 26 Lock Screen

Since I have updated to iOS26, Maps appears on the lock screen, but once I black it out, it does not reappear for directions. Prior to updating to iOS26, I could black out the screen and Maps would illuminate anytime a direction was coming up and then it would black out. Now if its blacked out, I have to illuminate the screen and my location on Maps is not accurate. It takes a few seconds to get caught up on my location. I then have to manually black out the screen again. Anyone else have this issue? Any tips? Thanks.
