Suspicious text message about a pending charge on Apple Account

i received a text message from 63 968 xxx xxxx claiming to be from apple about a pending charge at an apple store in FL i did not make this and am hesitant to call the number as i believe this to be a scam? is it or has someone charged my account?

You are correct, it is a scam. You are also smart by never calling a number in a message/email, as they are looking to get your personal/financial information. There has been no charge to any of your accounts.
