I have an iPhone 16 and M3 iMac. When I plug my phone in to sync, it syncs, but the "Sync Settings" button does not work so I cannot add or remove music from my phone.

Spoke to Apple Support and there is a known bug, for the short term, use the Finder option on the Mac, select your iPad or iPhone in the side bar menu, the Sync option works this way for me. Give it a try!
So 26.1 did not help the sync issue with my iPhone, it did manage to sync an old iPod. When I ran a full sync to the iPhone it yet again wiped out most of the music on my phone and trashed most of my playlist on my Mac Studio. I really don't see what hard about syncing my Mac music data to my iPhone without forty things changing.
Honestly I’m not sure who to reach out to. I don’t have AppleCare on these products. I’ve been using Apple products for a long time and never have had issues.

That’s a step closer but it still doesn’t work. It brings up the settings menu but after unchecking artists that I want to remove from my phone, the sync button remains greyed out.

This does not work for ipods or ipod shuffle. Poorly done apple. The shuffle was the simplest, best product you ever made. it cant be that hard to continue supporting it

Where is the sync settings button within the Music app? I can't see it anywhere, either in full screen mode or even regular mode.
