The "M" that begins the number indicates it is not refurbished but origianally sold as new. Were it a true Apple refurb, that code would start with "F".

A very good place to start when concerned about provenance of an Apple produce is by checking the support coverage In Settings > AppleCare & Warranty. The expiration date should be only days plus one year from your date of purchase, or will show when the warranty expired.

The only part find odd is that Apple iDevices intended for sale in the US usually have order numbers ending in LL/A. From my US-purchased iPhone:

VC/A indicates made for Canada. If you are in Canada, great!. Enjoy the phone.

If you are not in Canada, BE SURE to check the service and support status because that may affect warranty coverage.

If in doubt, return the device and buy directly from Apple.

there should be a model number on the back of iPad you would use to identify it, not the one in settings - general - about - those numbers are extra long and never match the back of iPad

Identify your iPad model - Apple Support

Use the model number to find out which model iPad you have. Learn how to find the model number of your iPad.

However, Iit comes up as this model Buy iPad Wi-Fi 128GB - Silver - Apple

The Apple Store compare page is usually the latest models being compared to each other
