FaceTime Notification Badge Won't Clear

The FaceTime Notification Badge shows one missed call and I cannot clear it. Is it safe to kill the Notification Centre in the Activity Monitor in Tahoe?

Checking missed call immediately calls back On opening a missed call: How can I prevent automatic callback by touching lock screen notification? It may be in the middle of the night, or unpleasant for me to originate a call. I may be in a meeting. But immediate callback is bad just because FaceTime sees me and places a call on itself.

Face Time Isn't Ringing on MacBook Pro I have a new MacBook Pro. My son called me via FaceTime several times but it did not ring, make a sound or give me any notification. I tried going to settings in FaceTime to poke around - but nothing. However, when I called my son from my FaceTime on my MacBook Pro he received a notification that I was calling. Please note I don't have an iPhone. My son does have an iPhone if it makes any difference. Thank you.
