Request to Disable Two-Factor Authentication

Dear Apple Support Team,

I am contacting you regarding my Apple ID. I am unable to use Two-Factor Authentication due to my current residence in a country under sanctions. Unfortunately, I do not have access to a second trusted device or a foreign phone number that could receive verification codes.

Given these circumstances, I kindly request your assistance in disabling Two-Factor Authentication on my Apple ID. I can provide any required verification to confirm my identity and the lack of a second device or phone number.

Thank you very much for your understanding and support.

Sincerely,

s*****h fe****si

You can only disable it if your account used security questions previously and you enabled two factor in the past two weeks. Then you have an email from Apple with instructions on how to revert to security questions. Those kinds of accounts are only older accounts, and with newer accounts it is impossible to disable two factor.

You will just have to realize that when using any item of equipment in a country where it requires a service that is not available in that country, you will will encounter issues. If I were to buy a dishwasher made in Iran I probably could not get service for it here in the USA. Your only solution that I can imagine at this stage is to get a second Apple device to act as a trusted device an can get a verification code over the Internet.

I note that there is an increased frequency of posts of this kind. Some of those users have purchased an Apple Account for use in a country where Apple does not provide accounts or support. This is against Apple's terms of use and the account could be closed if Apple were to notice this.
