Custom Shortcuts icon not appearing on Lock Screen widget

'm new to shortcuts and can't figure this out. My process: I created a simple shortcut to launch a timer. I customized the icon. Then I went to my lock screen and selected "add widgets." I scrolled to "Shortcuts" and added a widget that has a generic shortcut icon. I added it. Then, still in the edit screen, I double-click on the icon to launch Shortcuts so I can assign a shortcut to the placeholder. I selected my "Set Time" shortcut with the customized icon. But the icon doesn't show up on the lockscreen. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
