Lag Home Screen Movement: iPhone 17 Pro (iOS 26) much slower than iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 18)

My iPhone 17 Pro (iOS 26) is considerably slower than my iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 18) when it comes to home screen movement. I have to wait for the animation to finish in order to access the app for iPhone 17 Pro, whereas for the iPhone 14 Pro, I can access the app immediately after unlocking my phone. This lag also occurs when clicking on or exiting app folders.

I tried to go to

“Settings” > “Accessibility” > “Motion” > “Reduce Motion”,

but it only removes the animation but not remove the

delay. I still have to wait like 1-2 seconds before I can click on the app.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

Slightly similar issue on my 17 pro with screen lag.

I can close all my apps. Lock my screen and when I re-open and scroll through app pages, the first scroll severely drops fps. Then once that lag spike happens it feels crisp again cycling through pages.

Also having an issue with my voicemails — upon opening the vm tab, I keep getting what seems like a constant refresh. Tells me “no new voicemails” then all my voicemails load, then black screen then they load again in a constant cycle. So annoying. My iPhone 13pro had zero issues..

I’ve seen some posts about LG vs Samsung displays.. not sure if this is a thing or not.
