Tahoe Music app control bar in poor location

I'll give you a Up Vote for that.

It also fixed another nag of mine that now I am able to drag songs up my playlist without having to switch between Playlists and Songs under the View.

Where does one's mind go when trying to control an app? TO THE TOP - where the menu bar is. Not to the bottom!!! Fix it.

7 November Tahoe 26.1 update unfortunately the Terminal command doesnt move the play buttons to top...any new code would be greatly appreciated

Now the control bar is always behind some other app window. I've always left the narrow strip of controls above all else and it was fine. Is this the emperor's new clothes lesson for Apple?

The command to enter in the Terminal no longer works since the Tahoe 26.1 update :(

I wonder why Apple is so slow to react.

People rarely create to say they are happy so Apple can only see when customers are unhappy which is the case for this non-sense here :/

Here is a fix for you.

Here's a workaround. Per tidbits.com (link below), you can disable Liquid Glass on a per-app basis. Stop the Music app, open the Terminal app and enter the command

defaults write com.apple.Music com.apple.SwiftUI.DisableSolarium -bool YES

then restart the Music app. This will revert the two most noxious changes to the app in my eyes: returns the controls to their rightful place at the top of the window, and restores the status bar at the bottom of the playlist in "View as Songs" mode.

You can revert to the godawful Liquid Glass nonsense by repeating the process and replacing YES with NO, if such a perverse urge should occur to you. More details about the process (and options to implement this system-wide) available at this link (many thanks to TidBits for publishing this):
