After using the AirPods for about two weeks, the headband arch broke. When I searched for a replacement, it showed around $160. How is it possible that a part that is easily broken is worth the price of a new headphone?

Price of Damaged AirPods:
That's the price that was made by Apple. These are just user-to-user support forums. No one here has any say in what Apple charges. AppleCare does not fix intentional, nor accidental damages; so, even if you had AppleCare, Apple, at its discretion, would make that charge. Maybe if you purchased this from a retailer, then they would have offered you coverage of their own that would cover this.
