How to restore access to apps on iPhone after iOS update?

Hi,

My daughter updated her phone to the latest iOS last night and has woken up to find that most of her apps have been disabled. When you search and open via the App Store a message pops up that they are restricted and to adjust her settings on the parental controls.

We haven’t changed anything our end but have tried everything we can think of today and there is no obvious reason why everything is blocked. It’s all her apps but WhatsApp and TikTok were the first we noticed.

Nothing we do on the parental controls end is working to lift it. Help please!

Turn Off Screen Time:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Screen Time
  3. Tap: Turn Off Screen Time(so that it is greyed-out)

You can try turning it off. But the new update has caused problems with screen time, such as one more minute on one app being one minute for each app, always allowed apps like Google, Safari, Infinite Campus (etc) don't work anymore, and lock. I've talked to Apple about it, but they just said to wait 24 hours. (not helpful) You can ask Apple through their chat thing rather than on here, because they rarely see it on here, which is what I've been told.
