Well, that is weird! Have you tried a forced restart?

This is different from a simple Power Off. I had to continue holding the button down past the "slide to power off" message, and then I released the button only after the Apple Logo appeared indicating a re-start.
A weird possibility-- try Setting>Accessibility>Display. The Reduce Transparency setting, for instance, has had unexpected effects-- try flipping it. In iOS18 we've learned to leave it off. Do you have any other of those things turned on?

"Library" is at the top of the Library view, which is a scroll up from "Photos." In the Main screen the top part is the Library and the bottom part, with Albums, Collections, etc, is Photos.
Can you add a screenshot?
I have tried that but even after the forced restart the issue persists. I think it is an iOS glitch and may recover after next update.
I am using ios26… this is how the library pane looks like. It appears to be bit bald.
