Keyboard keeps changing language on input

I have one prefered language, English.

Several languages in Text Input/Input Sources.

Ive disabled `Automatically switch to a document's input source`, but still every time i start typing in new app/window it will revert to previous language, and i will have to manually change language back again. Making `switch language` shortcut THE most used.

Can someone tell me how to make this stop, and use one language in all of my applications, up until i change language myself.

It is really really annoying, as i work in multi language environment across different applications.

Fixed issue with random switching.

I had custom input source hotkey (cmd+space). When I disable it or reset to default (ctrl+space) issue is no longer reappearing.

Same here. Sometimes I would be typing in one language, and after a comma or quotation mark, it would automatically switch back to English. This is so annoying. I have to use two other languages besides English, especially when working, and I often realize that I am typing "Ffdadfdff Fdfsdff" because the input language has changed back to English without my involvement, out of the blue.

This is a bug. A nasty bug which should be fixed in version 26.1 or even 26.0.1. Usually, Apple releases a bug fix version within a week, but it's been almost two weeks.

Having same issue on MacBook M4 Pro, reproduced on 26.0, 26.1, 26.2.

Have two input sources (U.S. and Ukrainian).

Very often when switching between apps and Ukrainian input is active it automatically switches back to U.S.

Also same when typing question mark or comma.

Issue is present with built-in and external keyboard.

Setting to "Automatically switch to a document's input source" is set to FALSE.

Using "Ukrainian" (not Legacy or Qwerty version). Yes, also happen even in Safari when pressing cmd+T.

I can't duplicate this problem and don't know what could cause it on your machine. But here is a copy of the Ukrainian keyboard from Sequoia. Try installing it and see if any improvement in behavior. Normally it should not matter, but this kind of thing has worked for some issues in the past and is worth a try.

(To install put the .bundle file in Home/Library/Keyboard Layouts. To get to Home/Library, hold down option while doing Finder > Go. Then logout/login and go to system settings / keyboard / text input / edit / all input sources and use the + button at the bottom to add it to the input source list, and then select it from the input menu in the menu bar.)

This isn't fix for me.

So you tried the Ukrainian Sequoia keyboard and it did not help?

Very often I face bug after switching from english to ukrainian and start typing from uppercase. First letter is ukrainian symbol, other are english

What method are you using to switch from English to ukrainian? Caps Lock, Control Space, Fn/Globe, or Menu Bar?
