Time Machine NAS bug is back?

I updated my iMac-M1 to Tahoe (MacOS 26). Time Machine backup used to work perfectly on a Synology NAS DS218+ on my LAN. Since I updated, if left unattended overnight, for example, the backup fails (‘The network disk disconnected from your Mac while backing up’). This issue was discussed at length on this forum months ago, but fortunately it was resolved with a MacOS upgrade. Could it be that the bug has been reintroduced with Tahoe? Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Thanks!

Having said that, I am not experiencing any issues with TM backups to my Synology DS223j on Tahoe.

I regularly get “Disk not ejected properly” notifications on my MacBook for a remote disk. There aren’t any notifications on the host Mac. I think this may be a networking issue, but not sure they are related.
