When a call is active, I can hear the caller, but they cannot hear me.
Am no expert in this area, yet your post to the community deserves some response.
Seems some small detail may be being overlooked, yet it is not easy to guess just what.
Below are just a few of the tips from each linked article ... if nothing there helps, you may want to try carefully reading right through the linked articles themslves for what may be being overlooked, so you can solve it.
Eg: Ensure the volume is set high enough for your voice to be heard
Check the call is not accidentally "muted"

You may also want to check the built in speakers:on Mac:
System Settings > Sound > Output .... volume slider ... and make sure "mute" is not ticked.
