Airpods Pro 3 - Battery Bugginess

I started using them this morning with the Airpods and case battery at 100%. After about two hours of use in ANC mode (music playing for about one hour), the left Airpod was down to 54% but the right one was still at 93%. Both Airpods were in my ears the entire time.
- Is it normal for the left one to drain so much faster than the right one?
- Why is the battery status indicator going crazy on my phone? See screen recording gif below.
- Bonus question: how come the 3s have the generic headphone icon, while my pros 1 have a custom Airpods icon? It's a bad look on that iphone status widget seeing three generic headphone icons. Can't tell which one is the left Airpod and which is the right..
