Iphone "unavailable" due to too many incorrect attempts

I was setting up my new "used" iPhone 15 Pro and got as far as doing my Face ID. When I had to enter the 6 digit new passcode, I didn't write it down, so due to too many attempts, I am not locked out. When I plug it into my MacBook Air, it doesn't even recognize it. HELP :). Thank you

iPhone 17 Pro, iOS 26

If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled or unavailable -

Click on the link for instructions on how to reset your passcode without a computer if you have iOS 15.2 or higher.
