iPhone 17 battery drains quickly with normal use

📱 @Apple I recently upgraded to the #iPhone17 and the battery drain issue is really disappointing. Even with normal use, the phone loses charge way too fast. For such a premium device, this shouldn’t be happening.

Please address this with a fix/update soon. 🔋⚡

There are two ways to extend battery life: Set an 80% limit, or charge overnight, every night with Optimized Charging enabled. The reason to use either one is leaving any LiIon battery at 100% charge for a period of time will cause faster degradation. That’s why electric vehicles say to charge no higher than 80% except in preparation for a long trip. This has nothing to do with how frequently you need to charge; it is about the long term life of the battery. Batteries lose some capacity each time they are discharged then charged; once the capacity drops below 80% operation will become erratic, and the battery should be replaced.
