iPhone does not ring for incoming calls after iOS 26 update

This worked for me but by this procedure:

I checked Settings/Phone/Announce calls.

"Always" was already ticked.

I ticked "Never" then Back Arrow to exit.

I then selected Announce Calls again and ticked "Always"

After backing out this time my phone ring tone rang out normally.

I believe I have found the solution. try go to phone settings to announce calls and check always. it defaults to headphones only. Last night I got a call and my phone was ringing :)

Have you tried to restart the iPhone to see if the issues persist?

There will be no fix when it works OK for millions.

go to Sounds & Haptics settings, choose a new stock ring tone, make sure the slider is midway. Make sure that sliding it slightly makes the ringtone sound out.

There is nothing else to set or fix.

Mine was set to headphones and car and I didn’t charge this setting at all. It rang in the car on Apple Carplay earlier so I’ve changed it now to Always. Here’s hoping!

This happened to our phones and under the “Phones” app we had to remove the “screening calls” option and select to always allow all contacts, unknown numbers and Not saved contacts.

Using an iPhone 14. Since the update, my phone no longer rings when I get a call. Checked the volume, settings, etc.

If I do a restart, it will work for a short time and then it’s back to no ring sounds. I hope you have an update for this since I have checked my settings and also have not changed anything.

I have iPhone 14 Pro and latest ios 26 version update and same thing. My phone doesn’t ring for phone calls or my test messages do not make a sound . I also found my phone was set to silent even though my side button was not on silent.

I have the same issue, 14 Pro, separating the ring tone from the side buttons, rebooted the phone, removed focus modes, etc... Still nothing.

I have exactly the same issue. I modified settings, rebooted (and then it worked for a while), but after a few hours it stopped working again.

Me too. I also have problems with intermittent connection to bluetooth systems in spite that the last update intended to fix this issue

updated to iOS 26 and my iPhone 14 pro doesn't ring and make no sounds on texts! hat's up with this?
