How to block apps when using driving focus?

I use Focus modes so when I’m in work, work related apps send me notifications but when I leave work, work focus turns off and my other focus modes block notifications from work related apps… apart from Driving.

I’m all for the driving focus mode but as soon as I drive my car, work related apps send notifications to my phone which is annoying me greatly.

How do I edit or setup a driving mode equivalent that also allows me to stop my work related apps sending me notifications outside of work?

I was just setting up driving for myself and ended up here, trying to pull over some other features from standard “Do Not Disturb.”

I’m settling on setting up a shortcut to turn on Do Not Disturb when connected to my Bluetooth, and turn itself off when it’s disconnected. You can add these two shortcuts, then go to the “automation” tab in the shortcuts app and type in CarPlay or Bluetooth to set how you want them to turn on and off. Make sure to check “Run Immediately” so the shortcuts won’t require input to activate.
