I was using two finger tap to get the secondary menu.
Control-one finger tap works, but I’d prefer the old two finger tap so as not to have to have hand on keyboard as well.
Suggestions?

I did a restart of finder , press apple logo at top left of screen, force quit, select finder and press relaunch. This solved the issue of no double press working anywhere.
Working normally on my MacBook Pro, both with the internal trackpad and a Magic Trackpad. Set in System Settings > Trackpad:

I am having the same issue, in settings trackpad is set for two finger tap/press for secondary click.

OK, this is really strange - after posting this, it randomly started working again. I didn't change anything. Bizarre.
Hold the [control] key and single tap on the trackpad to bring up the secondary click popup menu.
That's been working for me using an Apple Trackpad

I told you Control-click because the 2-finger click doesn't always work for me, so I'm quick to use the shortcut that always works.
