SIM card not working on iPhone 15 after upgrade

I recently updated my iPhone 15 to ios26 and my SIM card is no longer working. It is working when I use an iPhone 13, which has also been updated to ios26. The difference is that when I insert my SIM card in iPhone 13 I am immediately asked for the code to unlock the sim. On iPhone 15 the pop up message asking me for the code to unlock the sim does not appear

Try and force restart the iPhone to see if the issues persist

Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.

If they persist, see if you're in need of a carrier settings update

  1. Make sure that your device is connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network.
  2. Tap Settings > General > About.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to install your carrier update.
