How do I change the master password for the Password app in iphone 13, ios18?

Other answers in this community suggest that the master password for the Password app must be the same as the iphone 13 entry password. That strikes me as very insecure. I want a different password for the Password app -- how do I do that? I'm not using Face ID.

Her iPhone did not give the option to update the saved password, which I found odd. I went to the settings to find that Passwords has been moved from Settings to its own app upon opening the entry for Wyze, and clicking the option to edit and update the password, I am linked to the Wyze website I’ve already updated the password with Wyze, I just need to update the saved password on the phone. Password is not showing up in password app on iphone I have an iphone 16 pro that is updated with the latest ios version. Since every website now requires a sign in all credentials are saved to my iphone. The iphone now stores all these user names and passwords in the passwords app. My phone is setup with face ID. Once I save credentials to my phone I only have to use my face to login to that account. I need to login to this account on my pc. I entered the credentials but it is not take the password. I checked my iphone and can access this account using face(hence the password must be stored). I check the password app and the account is not listed. I search every where I could think of on my iphone but cannot find where this password is stored. The account works with face ID. This is driving me crazy. I basically have to reset the password every time I login on a pc to this account.

new password location iPhone sent through an update but the link to passwords is gone - I found the list but after I backed out of it, I couldn't get back to the page - I tried 'apps' from the settings page - I tried Face ID & Passcode from the settings page and anything else that seemed like it should bring that list up - obviously, I haven't found the correct link - WHERE DID IT GO????

Sorry, you cannot create a master password for the Passwords app. As you’ve discovered the iPhone code is the only code/password that can be used to unlock the app.

You may want to let Apple know: Product Feedback - Apple.
