First try a forced restart, if that doesn't work reinstall the app. If that doesn't work contact the app developer for help with their software.

Try a forced restart.

• Press and quickly release the volume up button

• Press and quickly release the volume down button

• Press and hold the side button.

• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

Meta will provide a fix in an update and it would not be necessary to Factory Reset your phone. That is more of a diversion tactic in an attempt to put the blame on something else, where it is clearly an Instagram problem. That was even confirmed by you with the same thing showing on 2 different platforms.

Their last update was 3 days ago, so based on the previous update cycle, you should be expecting another one any day now. It is apparent very little in-house testing of these update are happening with this update frequency, and the users are the bug testers.

I also have a problem with Instagram. It has an infinitely loading circle at the end of the stories bar in the home page. It's actually impossible to contact Instagram, unless you buy meta premium and open a ticket.

Meta has never been known for Customer Service with any of their apps. They don't even offer a Support site such as this where other users can discuss issues that they are having with their apps. The user is the product being sold to advertisers with the data harvested from them, but when it comes to a problem with any of their apps, they are no where to be found.

Yes I know. I had someone who has bought meta premium to open a ticket about the problem of the infinitely loading circle at the end of the stories bar. They called him and he told him about the issue. That meta guy told him to clear my Instagram app cache, reinstall the app and even factory reset my phone. I did not factory reset my phone tho but did all the rest steps but they didn't fix the problem. Then the meta guy told him that this issue has to do with apple id bug and in the next update it will be fixed. I waited, and once the new Instagram update was released a few days ago, i installed it but the problem still wasn't fixed. That problem happens both on my iPhone and an android phone so I don't know if it has to do with apple id as the meta assistant said.

Surprisingly, WhatsApp has app support and you can contact them although it is a meta app and no other meta app can he contacted or has app support
