How can I change app colors on iOS 26 without them turning blank?

I’m trying to change the colors of my apps or just make them clear but when I go to customize and hit the option, my apps just turn blank white and I have to restart my phone if I want to see what my apps are… I just want to make my phone cute does anyone know what to do?
