IPhone air heats up with phone calls. My ear started burning sensation on my first call which prolonged to about 15 minutes

Every cell phone ever made, going back to 1988, gets warm during a call when you hold the phone to your ear. I know, because I had a Motorola Microtac flip cell phone in 1989. If you have a weak cell signal it will get much (10 times) warmer than it will with a strong signal.
