17 pro max heating up significantly during video calls.

I recently purchased the iPhone 17 Pro Max 256GB on 29th October 2025, and I’ve noticed something concerning. After just 3 days of use, the phone starts heating up significantly during video calls, especially when using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and WhatsApp. It feels quite warm—almost like how older phones used to heat up under load.

I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue? Is this normal for the iPhone 17 Pro Max, or could it be a defect in my unit?

Also, considering the premium price, I’m starting to question whether this model is truly value for money. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

Some activities such as charging or a lot of computational activity (e.g., video), generate heat. Some warmth is to be anticipated.* ** "Keep your iPhone, the power adapter, and any wireless charger in a well-ventilated area when in use or charging.”*** Read this article about keeping your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch within acceptable operating temperatures - If your iPhone or iPad gets too hot or too cold - Apple Support
