Does anyone else’s iPhone 17 get really warm when using it and the battery life just isn’t what they said it would be? My phone doesn’t even last all day and that’s with light usage.

Battery life and thermal performance depends on your use. If you are using heavy apps, you may notice higher temps. For your battery, since this is a new phone, it may need time to index files or sync with iCloud. Wait a week, and see how it’s then.
I am having the same problem. The battery lasts half a long as the 13 that I just retired, and the phone gets so warm even when not being used that it will not charge with a warning "charging will resume when iPhone returns to normal temperature." Did you get any useful insight on fixes?
Same here. Its ****!!! I was able to use my iphone 13 playing game for hours till it down to zero without any battery overheating problem, and now the new Iphone 17 I just got yesterday overheating in one hour........
