Hi if I click on any contact in my contact list the contact shows up sitting in light lavender background Is there a way to reset this default color for all contacts do you have to do it individually by contact and if so can you do it through iCloud some how ?

That's the new default color for contacts. You can go into the contacts you use most frequently and choose a contact poster for that contact, which will change the color background of the contact, but there is no setting to change them universally.

Open the contact app and select the contact. Tap Contact Photo and Poster and tap edit. Tap the trash can on the one you want to delete. Now, if you are seeing a contact poster from a contact that you didn't select, you cannot remove it. People can choose to associate their contact with a poster they want seen when they message someone.

You can drop your money on anything you want. No one here really cares, because no one here works for or is associated with Apple in any way. This is a user to user ONLY forum, which Apple doesn't participate, nor read for user feedback. If a background color is enough to make you go by something else, go for it.

As a commenter above mentioned, EVERY CONTACT must be changed MANUALLY. I don't have the time, nor patience to do this.
I've actually considered handing in my iPhone and purchasing an Android phone. I'm considering this option more EACH + EVERY DAY! Sheesh!

Another thing that I notice that's interesting is I did the same IOS update on my iPad and on the iPad there still the Gray and the white
What’s worse: the lavender background has white text—it is VERY difficult to read! I use my Contact Notes extensively, and really don’t want to change over 500 Contacts individually. Who thinks up this BS, and then doesn’t allow us to effect a change back across all fields at once?? What’s up, Apple??
As a Senior in my 70's age bracket, I'm really finding the lavender color is difficult for me to read. In addition, I often copy and send a copy of my Contacts' Page to others via social media.
I've tried for hours to work backwards from the update 26.1 to change the Clock setting, The App setting, the lavender glass setting, etc. I'm VERY upset that Apple hasn't allowed us to CHOOSE these updates individually!
