It’s not viable for me to change every color of every contact that I have. The purple and white text makes it hard to read and it’s not a natural combination. If you pick up a book and much like this forum, it’s a white background with black text.

What do you mean turn off the colors? If you mean the lavender color which is hard coded into iOS 26, you can't turn that off. If you want, you can assign a contact poster to contacts using a photo or avatar of your choice and adjust the color as well. But you'd have to do that for each individual contact in your contacts.
