Personal Hotspot issue on iPhone 13 following iOS 26 Update

Following iOS 26 (and subsequent iOS 26.0.1) update, Personal Hotspot on iPhone 13 is greyed-out and I’m unable to access the feature. Immediately upon opening “Settings” for perhaps ½-second, it appears lighted but is greyed-out as quickly and remains that way.

Prior to updating to iOS 26, when you navigated to “Settings > Mobile Service > Mobile Data Network” the options included “Mobile Data”, “LTE”, “MMS” and “PERSONAL HOTSPOT”, all under which which one was able to enter “APN, Username, Password”. However, the only option left now is “Mobile Data”.

Under “Settings > Mobile Service > Mobile data” there’s a “Personal Hotspot” selection but upon further investigation it seems to be MAC addresses… so not much help there.

I’ve tried the usual ‘fixes’ - restarting, toggling with Airplane Mode turned on, switching off wifi and cellular data off and on again, disabling Low Power mode on battery, resetting Network Settings and contacted my carrier. No dice!

Has anyone else encountered this issue as well?

Hotpsot is provided by your phone carrier give them a call.

My carrier wasn’t able to provide much help. Basically sent me where I already knew I needed to go. 🫠

You can troubleshoot here If Personal Hotspot is not working on your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular) - Apple Support

And if hotpsot is included in your monthly cellular data bill I would ask for a discount since you're paying for something that isn't working and they can't fix it for you.
