Why does my macbook pro keep restarting on its own?

I routinely close the laptop at the end of the day, leave work, and when I come in in the morning, I find out the computer shut down and restarted on its own. Nobody has access to my office, so why does it need to keep doing that? Is this yet another super annoying idiosyncracy of modern macs or nah?

Probably a third party process that is crashing. Post the free EtreCheck report using the Additional Text option when posting, and the processes that are running on your computer on startup will show there. It will also show more information about the processes that crash. The report contains no personal information.

As always, you never want to install any Antivirus software or Cleaners. Apps that alter network connections, such as VPN, can also cause a crash when the network goes to sleep.
