i have an iPhone 16 with lots of free storage and it’s relatively new. When I got iOS 26 games like geometry dash started stuttering when playing. Why is this and has anyone else been having this problem?

Have you talked to the game developers? They’ll be able to tell you if they’ve released an update to handle the new hardware and software. The developers wrote the code for older hardware and software. Dropped frames and stuttering is common in games that have not been updated.
In two weeks Apple only released a minor update. It contain security updates.
What game is it?
The app hasn’t been updated in 9 months. That’s not a good sign for the app being updated to fix the game’s bug issues. You’ll need to contact the developer of the game to find out when they’re releasing next bug fix version.

It started when you download iOS 26 because all iPhones/mobile phones slow down when they upgrade their iOS. A lot of things are happening in the background for a few days after the upgrade.

у меня тоже айфон 16, пПосле обновления на iOS 26 в моментах падает частота кадров, причем игры простые Geometry Dash, Rcg, а в более сложных играх всё нормально, после обновления прошло более 2 недель, я думаю, это связано с тем, что старые игры плохо поддерживают новый iOS. Как это решить, наверное, никто не знает( Надо ждать новых обновлений и фиксов.

the same thing happens to me now on my 16 plus I can open a game and it’s fine until I switch apps for a split second, reply to a text notification by swiping down, opening control center, or opening Notification Center while in the game. After that it’s has insane frame drops
I don’t know how to reach out to the developer. There’s not an article stating a UI rendering bug but that’s what I suspect, because I tried the same games out on my dads phone and a friends phone and they had the same problem as well
There’s a chance it could be effecting your battery. Do you have link to what you read? Did you reach out to the developer?
I updated it when it first came out so like a week or two ago. And also when I’m on brawl stars and fist open it it’s frame rate goes down, same when I switch tabs on my phone and then back to brawl. But not all of my games are like this only a vast majority. The updating should of been completed by now as well
