iPhone 16 Pro Max USB-C port not working after updated to iOS 26

My iPhone 16 Pro Max USB-C port is not detecting my original Apple charger or any other USB-C chargers after updating to iOS 26 and the problem still persist after updating to iOS 26.0.1, but wireless charging works. The wired charging only works sometimes after restarting my phone (volume up + volume down + home button). So now I gotta restart a few times for the wired charging to work whenever I need to charge my phone.

UPDATE

I’ve contacted Apple support and was told to perform self diagnostics but no issues were detected. Later on, they did another remote diagnostics and couldn’t find any issues with it as well. I ended up sending in my phone to Genius Bar as it is still under warranty. They performed diagnostics again and no issues were detected so they just changed a new logic board for the phone. It has been over a week and the problem seems to be resolved.

You need to have Apple perform diagnostics on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.

Same issue with new iphone 16 pro (3 weeks old) and IPad Air M3.

New chargers, new cables, connected to computer, car, nothing works.

On Ipad no message is displayed. Sometimes when powered off and connected to the charger the charging sign is blinking (but doesn't charge)

On Iphone message 'liquid detected' shows up, but no liquid has even touched the device. This message came with ios26.0.1 (after performing diagnostic or forced restart message disapears and sometimes cable charging is working)

this is after update to ios26.0.1

Wireless charging is working for iphone, not for Ipad.
