Allow iPhone Mirroring to use Mac’s camera and microphone for video calls

Currently, when using iPhone Mirroring on a Mac, video calls made through WhatsApp or other third-party apps continue to use the iPhone’s camera and microphone. It would be extremely useful if iPhone Mirroring could instead leverage the Mac’s built-in camera and microphone for these calls.

This feature would improve call quality, make video calls more convenient & seamless, and reduce the need to handle the iPhone directly while working on the Mac. Could Apple consider adding this functionality in a future update?

iPhone 16, iOS 26
