Weak signal on my new iPhone 17 Pro Max (physical SIM version), running iOS 26.0.1.

Is anyone else experiencing this? In places where my iPhone 16 Pro Max had 3–4 bars, the new phone only shows 1 or at most 2.

iPhone 17 Pro – Consistent Signal Drop and Data Failure Despite Full Bars I’m facing ongoing connectivity problems with my iPhone 17 Pro. The device often shows full bars but calls and data stop working, especially when turn off wifi and return to data use. It still shows 5g with two bars pf signal without being able to connect to internet or receive a message/call. Apple Support has already walked me through every standard procedure: updated iOS and carrier settings, reset network configurations, removed all accessories, and confirmed through remote diagnostics that no faults were found. The issue remains. Support also asked whether I was using a VPN or custom network profiles, I’m not. My setup is clean, and I’ve tested with and without VPNs to rule that out. The same eSIM and carrier worked flawlessly for two years on my iPhone 14 Pro, in the same areas and conditions, so I don’t believe this is carrier-related. I’ve noticed several other iPhone 17 users reporting identical connectivity symptoms, which suggests a broader pattern worth investigating. I’m posting here to highlight this recurring issue and to see if any users or Apple representatives have received updates or solutions that fully restore signal stability.

I just installed a cell booster in my rural home. 3 other iPhones got strong signals. 3-4 bars.

My new iPhone 17 Pro Max just shows - 1 bar.

I tried airplane mode on-off, repower phone and reset network. None helped.

Why? What do I do?

I’ve had the exact opposite experience. I’m getting 2 to3 bars in places I used to only have 1 bar. Have you spoken to your cellular provider? Who’s your provider?
