iPad 5th gen 12.9 died

I got an iPad Pro 12.9" around the beginning of covid. I haven't used it hardly at all recently and when I unplugged it to use it, it would not turn on. I assume the battery died? Is it worth having the battery changed or are the newer iPad's so much better that I should just get a new one? I also got the keyboard case, so it almost means I need to get another 12.9" which I don't really need now.

A bit disappointing as I was hoping to trade in my phone and possibly my MacBook Air but I sure can't afford all 3 of these.

Apple released the fifth generation iPad Pro 12.9" in April, 2021 and discontinued it in October, 2022.

Yes, expect the iPad battery to die if the product sits on the shelf for a long time.

How you proceed is your decision.
