When my apple order status changes to Preparing to ship, does that mean my card has been successfully charged?

Hey guys! I ordered a new 17 pro max, however had issues with my card. I was able to update my card and I saw that my order changed from processing to preparing to ship. Does that mean my card has been successfully charged?

No, Apple will attempt to charge your card within about 24 hours prior to shipping. You’ll be able to see the transaction in your mobile banking app and the bank’s secure website.

You will receive notifications from Apple and if payment fails, you’ll have a limited window to correct the issue.

I can tell you that when both iPhone 17 Pro's went from Processing to Preparing to Ship, the charge immediately hit the credit card I used for the purchase. This DOES coincide with Preparing to Ship.

Different payment networks (Visa, MasterCard, American Express etc.) have different rules for merchants regarding when a transaction can be processed.

Some PNO will allow merchants to place a hold on the funds, which will show online and subtract funds from Available Credit, but will falloff within 5 days if transaction is not finalized by merchant.

I know, more than you ever wanted to know about transactions and shipping.,😄😄
