Finding a Blocked Contact in iOS 26

In iOS 26, you can access your ‘Blocked Contacts’ list by going to Settings / Privacy & Security / Blocked Contacts, or alternatively, Settings / Apps / Phone / Blocked Contacts. If you mistakenly block a number in your Contacts app, you can tap on the <Unblock Contact> button at the bottom of the screen. But unfortunately, if you mistakenly block a number that is NOT in your Contacts app, you must manually scroll through each number in your Blocked Contacts list (in my case, 2,205 numbers), to find and delete the number. If anyone knows of a better way to do this, please post it here. I submitted a request on the Apple Feedback site, for Apple to consider including a ‘Search’ bar at the top of the Blocked Contacts screen in the next iOS update, so customers can easily search for and delete a number from the list.

so along with not having a User friendly method of add/removing, its a sad state of affairs and  is blissfully ignoring it.

this is a point of contention fro MANY macOS/iOS users. the block list use to be ubiquitous across your devices. in '26' im finding that adding a blocked number in macOS Messages isnt showing up on iPhone Messages (or other apps; FaceTime, Phone) where they use to be seen/accessed/used across devices.

Ive started noticing this issue more during this election cycle, its now impossible to block certain number s(yes you can add them and 'within minutes' they disappear from your block list.

SO the question is have Spammers found a workaround block list? and if so what is  doing about it?

And if not, whats going on with blocked numbers vanishing for the list. —I just spent 20minutes manually adding numbers into my Blist (saw them added) scrolled away to add more... upon returning those previous are now not listed at the bottom???

IS there a limit to how many you can add to the list? if so, whats the max?

What is going on? there are no clear guidelines/help docs for most of the new system... just cursory generic info that doesnt explain anything than what the 'text' already says in a dialog box.

(I predict that this thread will soon be closed by  as the most helpful/critical threads inevitably get neutralized.)
