Mobile label in blocked contacts

I checked my blocked contacts in the settings of my phone. Settings > phone > blocked contacts

Next to my most recent blocked number is the label (mobile). Why is this? I do not remember if I had this person’s number saved as a contact or not. I hold the “mobile” label mean that I did indeed have their number saved as a contact and that I had it set as their mobile?

"I searched my contacts and found the number. Odd enough, it does not have a name but is saved as a contact with the number only. I’m a bit confused because in the blocked contact settings of my phone( settings > phone > blocked contacts) they in the blocked contacts list. But in (settings > facetime > blocked contacts), they are not blocked. Could this be a fault between sms phone blocking and iCloud blocking?"

Excellent job troubleshooting.

All is Fine:

There is nothing faulty about this. You Contacts List always overrules these in other iOS Apps. Note that third-party apps, such as MalwareBytes Security for iOS can block out numbers, and that would overrule things in-full. See here: Mobile Security for Android and iOS

Finding an Assigned Number:

What happens when you search for this phone number in your Contacts list? Does it show up? If so, it is assigned to the Contact(s) you have blocked out.

Mobile label in blocked contacts: But this person is not a scam number, I thought that once blocked on iPhone, they are blocked on everything including iMessage, sms, and FaceTime?

Blocked Contact Not Getting Blocked:

It ought to black it out for everything. So, are you using any third-party app for managing messaging or for securing your devices?

Overview your Settings:

Type: Block in the top of Settings. See where that number resides within those settings:
